Ever wonder what it really takes to make just one T-shirt?
We usually see a cute tee in-store or online and think it’s simple, but behind it, there’s actually a lot going on.
To produce just 1 cotton T-shirt, it can take around:
• 2,700 liters of water (that’s enough drinking water for one person for almost 3 years 😳)
• Cotton farming that uses land, fertilizers, and energy
• Dyeing and processing that involves chemicals and more water
• Factory production, transport, packaging, and shipping before it even reaches you
Something so basic actually has a big footprint on the planet.
So next time you pick a tee, maybe ask: “Do I really need a new one… or is there already a perfect one waiting to be loved again?” 🤎🤎🤎
