Yesterday I did my first ever LittleXWolf pop-up!!! 🐾🐾

Oh my gosh, I enjoyed it SO much.

Since launching hoodies and tees back in October, my mission has always been to spread my message of . Making the world a more inclusive space where people feel they belong, feel valued, and feel seen. It’s something I live through racing alongside my older brother Rio, who has disabilities, and now through my clothing brand, LittleXWolf!

I normally sell online through my website, but having it all out in person was mind-blowing!! Seeing people engage with and love the brand means more than you can imagine 💜

To think where I was when I launched last October, to where the brand is now - it genuinely makes me so proud.

A massive thank you to for having me at your race event and giving me the space to bring my pop-up to life. You guys are amazing! 🙏🏻

And most importantly, thank YOU to everyone who came down, stopped by, bought something, shared the message, or simply had a heartfelt conversation with me.

It means everything. Truly. 🫶🏻🫶🏻✨

Only onwards and upwards from here. Watch this space, my next pop-up is already being planned 😉

My first time looking after Rio during a seizure, I was 7, Rio was 10.

As a family we went to the park. I begged for Rio & I to go on an adventure on our own - mum let us wander together. I didn’t know they were close by, watching from a distance, so I was excited to spend time with Rio, just the two of us, like other brothers & sisters do.

I took him to the playground. We had the best time - singing, dancing, going down slides, climbing monkey bars. We were in our own little world.

Then, as we were on the stairs of a slide, I felt Rio slowly lose his grip on my arm. I turned around, & he was starting to have a seizure. Pale, lips & nails blue - I thought I was completely on my own with him.

I knew what to do. I’d seen this many times before, it was almost a norm. I knew the most important thing was to keep him calm, so that’s what I focused on.

I got beside him, put his arm over me, & slowly started guiding him to a flat surface to get him down in the recovery position. Rio was floppy & distant, like he always is mid-seizure, so I had to use every bit of strength I had just to get him to where we needed to be.

Outside I was calm, but inside I felt terrified - I couldn’t let him feel that. So I kept talking to him, kept my voice steady, kept us moving.

It felt like hours, but realistically seconds, & by the time my parents ran over to us, he was starting to come back to himself.

I was relieved to see my parents, but proud I could be there for my brother. I told them everything, & within minutes Rio was safe, smiling, & laughing - which made us all burst out laughing.

What many people don’t realise is that I’ve been a young carer for most of my life. From that little girl on the playground doing everything she could to keep her brother safe, to who I am today - that role has never changed.

The thing is, I’d never want it to.

I’m still Rio’s “young caregiver” now - not because I have to be, but because I choose to be. Out of love, always ✨

Growing up alongside a sibling with a disability, you see a lot & you learn a lot. But more than anything, you learn to protect them with everything you have & that instinct stays with you forever 💜
