Unsolicited advice ❤️
When vacationing with kids, always remember: it's their vacation, not yours.
I generally don't enjoy holidays with my children as much as I enjoy seeing them enjoy themselves. Most of the time, both me and my partner are exhausted and on high alert 24/7. 😬
You spend hours in the water even when you don't feel like it, take turns sitting in the baby pool, and do all the things you'd rather skip because, well... you'd do anything for your kids, right?
Your guard should be 100% on the children at all times, especially around water and in foreign countries. If you knew how many children get lost or drown while on holiday, you'd understand exactly what I'm talking about.
Don't let your child wander off. Always make sure you can see them from wherever you're sitting. And most importantly, when it comes to water, I personally don't trust anyone but myself or my partner to supervise my children. Kids are quick, fearless, and incredibly sneaky. It only takes a few seconds for something terrible to happen.
Please take care of your little ones, guys. A holiday should end with beautiful memories, not a lifetime of regret and trauma. ❤️
I follow a lot of holiday and travel pages, and I see far too many stories about children drowning. It breaks my heart every single time. So I thought I'd share this and raise a little awareness about safeguarding children around water.
Always know where your children are. Always make sure you can see them. Don't assume someone else is watching. Double-check, then check again.
