K r K. is the capital of the island of Krk.
For the third time, the city of Krk was declared the best city to live in.
It has over 6,000 inhabitants and has been at the top of Croatian cities for years, investing their efforts in sustainability and environmental responsibility. Quality of life is synonymous with a small town, which is also called the city of history and Culture.
Here at every step you can still feel the spirit of the Frankopans, which the people of Krk are proud of and diligently preserve their traditions and customs.
In the picture is the bell tower of krk cathedral. The first known dated memorial of this cathedral is in the Deed of Gift of Bishop John from 1186, and it is possible that this cathedral existed in early Christian times.
The cathedral is a three-nave early Christian basilica on top of which there is an angel with a trumpet watching over the city.
