So good to watch the creativity and hard work, of the next generation of designers.

and I challenged ourself to find looks that aligned with a modest-fashion checklist… and interestingly, only one did!!

What stood out to me, not as a criticism, but as an observation about design education today is how often “balance” and “proportion” are achieved with the use of skin.

If a silhouette is oversized and modest on top, a split is added to the skirt, or the hemline is shorter or its see through.
If the skirt is long, then the shoulder is revealed or there is a plunging neckline or some cut outs.

What excites me about modest fashion is the design challenge it presents. Creating harmony, balance, and flattering proportions without relying on exposed skin requires a different level of skill ! Can’t wait to continue my research and contribute to design frameworks.

Huge congratulations to all the graduates, thank you for inspiring us.
