As I sit in the car heading to the shops to buy myself a bin…. It makes me think! Around October (last year) I started this small, handmade business. While my daughter was 4 months old. Had no teeth, but she sure had the biggest smile!
I lost my pop, moved, work 20-40 hours a week, watched my daughter grow, be in and out of the hospital and earn my first $1000 in profit (thanks to the bizz) all in one year.
WOAH!!!! 😮💨😮💨😮💨 Can time slow down!
Learning how to sew thanks to my darling Nanna has forever impacted me to be very resourceful, respectful and well simply to put it !!! BARGAIN HUNTERS.
Christmas one year for the grand kids was going to be tight that year. My nan decided to invest in something instead of buying throw away toys. 🧸
Nan thought to spoil me with a very antique and collectible sewing box. Around the 60’s it was from, I think. Sadly due to moving as a child a lot I didn’t end up keeping it. Mustard yellow and huge in my tiny hands. In my mind something I wanted to master ASAP.
Around 10-11 years old I was trying to do something most adults don’t know how to do. I slowly figured out with the help of my nan, that girls can really do anything; “even you summa”.
She is the reason why I started my business! Due to her kind soul, she gave me important life lessons. My daughter and I are proud to say, we appreciate you nan (and pop).
Thank you for being OUR biggest inspiration.
I also appreciate all of my customers who have been kind, patient, understanding, loyal and well, the cutest!!
LOVE Boss lady xx
