Stop buying Easter decorations.
Make your own in under an hour.
Last spring I sewed fabric egg ornaments for a simple bouquet on my table.
They cost less than store decor.
They looked better.
Hereβs how you do it:
π₯ Cut two egg side pieces
π₯ Place right sides together
π₯ Sew along one side
Now add the hanger.
π₯ Fold a ribbon in half
π₯ Pin it to the top of one egg half
π₯ Keep the loop facing inward
Close it up.
π₯ Pin both halves right sides together
π₯ Leave a 1.5 to 2 inch turning gap
π₯ Sew around the edge
Turn the fabric inside out.
Stuff with polyfill until the egg feels full in your hand.
Then:
π₯ Close the gap with a ladder stitch
Done.
One egg takes minutes.
Make five or ten.
Place them on branches in a vase.
You get a clean spring look without plastic or bright store colors.
You control the fabric.
You control the size.
You control the cost.
Have scraps at home?
Use them.
Old cotton shirt?
Cut it up.
What would your Easter table look like with handmade details instead of mass produced decor?
Try one egg today.
Then make a whole bouquet.
