Sami Dolls Website/ Shop: www.samidolls.com Hi! My name is Theresa. I love to create beautiful things with my hands.

I started to sew again in 2009 after finding some beautiful quilting fabric in a shop. I studied quilting magazines and youtube videos and finally started to make a few quilts. I then went on to making clothes, stuffies and handbags and finally, in 2011 I became aware again of the dollmaking tradition. I grew up with handmade dolls my mum made for me and my brother and I got so excited about tryin

g to make a doll myself. I sourced some supplies and made a few sweethearts for my daughter and myself (hubby has one now too :)). And I just can't stop now :)
I also make all the clothes for the dolls myself. The material I import from Europe, the fabrics are from the USA, Europe and Australia and the stuffing is Corn and Eucalyptus fiber, all vegan friendly.

Stop buying Easter decorations.

Make your own in under an hour.

Last spring I sewed fabric egg ornaments for a simple bouquet on my table.

They cost less than store decor.

They looked better.

Here’s how you do it:

πŸ₯š Cut two egg side pieces
πŸ₯š Place right sides together
πŸ₯š Sew along one side

Now add the hanger.

πŸ₯š Fold a ribbon in half
πŸ₯š Pin it to the top of one egg half
πŸ₯š Keep the loop facing inward

Close it up.

πŸ₯š Pin both halves right sides together
πŸ₯š Leave a 1.5 to 2 inch turning gap
πŸ₯š Sew around the edge

Turn the fabric inside out.

Stuff with polyfill until the egg feels full in your hand.

Then:

πŸ₯š Close the gap with a ladder stitch

Done.

One egg takes minutes.

Make five or ten.

Place them on branches in a vase.

You get a clean spring look without plastic or bright store colors.

You control the fabric.

You control the size.

You control the cost.

Have scraps at home?

Use them.

Old cotton shirt?

Cut it up.

What would your Easter table look like with handmade details instead of mass produced decor?

Try one egg today.

Then make a whole bouquet.

Instead of focusing on discomfort and pain, we can choose to navigate around these difficulties with resilience and a positive outlook. β˜€οΈ

By shifting our perspective, we transform our journey into one of growth and learning, rather than one of suffering. πŸŒ…

1. **When facing a difficult situation, what negative thoughts often come up, and how can you reframe them into a more positive or constructive perspective?**

2. **Think of a past challenge where you maintained a positive attitude. How did this mindset affect the outcome and your experience of the situation?**

3. **Identify a current challenge and consider how you might approach it differently if you focused on solutions rather than problems. What positive actions can you take?**

Remember, life's challenges are inevitable, but suffering is optional. Choose to stand tall, navigate carefully, and keep moving forward. 🌡🌈πŸ’ͺ✨

Getting settled in Germany is taking longer than I expected.

My daughter's autism diagnosis is taking up a lot of time, we are running from one place to another looking to get help to support her.

Work is fun and it's only a part time job, but it is more demanding than I thought to learn all the ins and outs and I often have no energy left afterwards, between all the appointments for my daughter, to come up with new ideas for my channel and shop.

I will let you know when there is something new and I might be able to film a sit down video soon to give you an update...

But for now I want to let you know I am thinking of you all daily and hope to be back soon.

Theresa xx

A nice surprise waking up this morning πŸŒ¨οΈβ„οΈ
I haven't seen snow in such a long time.
Now if the sky would be a little bit more generous, we could go build a snowman or even get the sleigh out of the basement β˜ƒοΈβ˜„οΈ

We safely landed in Germany 3 days ago and I already had my first job interview. It will be a part time job, so I'll still have time for Sami Dolls. Yay!

Thank you all for thinking of us and for your support. ❀️

Do you recognise this bed set/ blankie?

It is my daughter's cuddle blankie and, as you can see in the bottom left corner, it is sadly slowly falling apart. It is around 40 years old now.
My mum and dad received this bed set as a wedding present back in 1980 and when my daughter had one of her surgeries (she was born 3 months early and sadly had a few health issues) as a 4 month old, my mum gave it to me as a cuddle blanket to protect and comfort my Mimi (daughter).
Mimi is now 14 years old and was diagnosed with Asperger's (ASD level 2). She has a hard time dealing with change. The thought of losing her beloved blankie is giving her severe anxiety.

A few years ago I went on a big internet search trying to search for a replacement, but sadly I could not find anything.

We are hoping for a miracle.

Maybe someone recognises this bed set and still has one in the attic, basement or closet somewhere. On the buttons it says KBC.

Please share this image, if you can, so it may be seen by as many eyes as possible, thank you β™₯
