I know this feeling all too well.

The anxiety that creeps in as nighttime approaches.
Wondering how many times you’ll be up.
How long bedtime will take.
Whether you’ll get more than a couple of broken hours before doing it all again tomorrow.

And then comes the guilt… because you love your baby more than anything, but you’re completely exhausted.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that routine is “too strict” for babies.

But routine isn’t about rigid schedules or having to watch the clock all day long.

It’s about creating predictability.

When babies know what to expect, they often settle easier, sleep better and feel more regulated through the day. And honestly? Parents usually feel calmer too.

It’s not about being perfect and even small, consistent patterns through the day can make a huge difference.

A routine gives your day some rhythm instead of constantly guessing what your baby needs next.
