For anyone needing a sensory rice restock, I’ve put together some mixed coloured rice packs — perfect for when you just can’t decide which colours to choose! 💛

We celebrated my little one’s 2nd birthday with a sensory setup that was just as sweet as she is — and it was a buzzing hit with all the kids!

Instead of the usual rice base, I mixed things up with:
🧂 Coloured salt for a softer, fine texture
🍋 Yellow-only Froot Loops (leftovers from a Mermaid tray order – nothing goes to waste here!)
🍃 Homemade scented playdough — tip: add tea leaves to your mix for a lovely scent and fun speckled texture
🌿 Herbs in a mortar & pestle — perfect for little hands to explore, crush, and sniff!

Amazing what you can pull together using pantry staples! Sensory play doesn’t have to be fancy — just intentional. And the kids? Totally immersed, entertained for ages, and joyfully messy.
