Repost from neen.silver
Ok so to my darling 3 followers… you may wonder what I have been up to in my silver journey…not much! After an amazing textiles journey in India, I have relocated to Freo for a while, to be nearer to my darling Dad who has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s & Lewy Body Dementia. This has enabled me to study at the Fremantle Arts Centre. Something I have always wanted to do since I lived in Ellen Street in the 90’s in a gorgeous little art deco apartment that cost $90 a week. How times have changed.
Dad is doing amazingly well at 92. And I am loving having more time to be creative. As I am unemployed right now & supporting myself and silver is the most expensive it has ever been (course it is!) am keen to start selling some pieces. If you like anything you see here, please let me know. All my pieces are wonky, that is my style currently. I like chunky, organic & a bit rugged! So please don’t expect perfection or fine jewellery.
All my pieces are sterling silver, copper & 9carat gold, some recycled metals. All made with love & lots of time!!
Some of these pieces are gifts & many have been made in class at or so thank you to all my lovely teachers.
My biggest inspiration so far & the teacher who really ignited my passion for silver is the amazing who is currently off socials I believe. Please check out her extraordinary work when you can.
So watch this space. It’s a work in progress as is my textile business which will all be in one place (hopefully) in the coming months.
Thanks for being here ⚔️🩶🔨
