Today we have been all about fairies and making special places for them to live.
We've been working on a felted playmat for a few weeks now, but today we got really sudsy and finally wet felted it. We sprayed the warm soapy water on and used our feet to work the wool! It has come out so beautiful and is such fun to make.
After accidentally knocking a big blue pot over last week we discovered it was the perfect size for a fairy house, so rather than throwing it away we added to our little fairy garden. The children collected natural materials from the yard to decorate and make the fairies home more comfortable. Who knows, maybe they will leave us some treasure to find next week ;)
