I had to document this. My house never, ever looks this tidy…first time in a long time there’s no hairbrushes, Lego sets, slime mixed with kinetic sand and other random stuff covering every visible surface. I’m going to remember this Cinderella moment fondly when in approximately 37 mins it transforms back to its original state 😂

*ARTWORK APPRECIATION* So I spied this absolutely gorgeous piece (well very similar) on the wall of Mt Martha artist Kate Janzen .au a little while ago, whilst admiring her Insta feed.

Aside from loving her artwork I also adore her UBER cool house (think mid-century Palm Springs with lots of colour 😍)!!! Definitely worth a stalk!

Kate’s current style of artwork is very different from this, but she kindly agreed to go back in time for my commissioned beauty!

I’m still considering whether I should add another piece of art on the wall opposite the dining table? What do you think??

Time for another before and after 🙌🏻 Oh the laundry…not the most exciting room in the house but the most necessary and functional. And the thing is you can can actually make laundries look AMAZING these days!! Gee I would LOVE a big ol’ laundry room one day.

So for our beachy laundry we installed cabinetry from Kaboodle, added some gorgeous oak timber shelves (which Tim cut to size) and allowed me to add some personality to the space, and finger tiles in a soft blue-grey to tie in with the colour scheme of the house.

The floor tiles are the same as the blue ones used in the bathroom but in an off-white with grey / brown markings which is great for hiding muddy footprints! Swipe to end to see before shots.

We also included LED strip lighting under the bottom shelf which I turn on a night because the laundry needs ambience too right?! 🤣
