🎉🍽️ Five years ago, I embarked on a journey to revolutionise mealtime for parents across Australia and New Zealand, and April marks our incredible five-year anniversary! 🥳 It all started with a humble dining room table transformed into a makeshift workshop, hand-sewing smocks to make life easier for families. 💪 From navigating through lockdowns to overcoming COVID-related hurdles, this journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. 🎢

During over a year of non-stop sewing, I poured my heart and soul into building Mess Me Not. 🧵 Despite the challenges, the journey has been immensely rewarding. 🌟 Over the next 5 years we had some incredible experiences and are so grateful to everyone who has supported us. However, statistics remind us that the road to success isn’t always smooth, and after much contemplation, I’ve made the tough decision to close the doors of Mess Me Not. 😔

Running a business has been a whirlwind experience, surpassing even the challenges of teaching. 📚 While I’ve been blessed with incredible support from customers and the media, my heart has always belonged to teaching. 👩‍🏫 Returning to the classroom this year has reaffirmed my passion.

Now the good part... our goodbye sale. We do not know what the future holds but for now we are selling off all stock and closing the doors. There’s a secret to our design 🤫

🌟 Hi to all our followers old and new! 🌟

I’m Stephanie, and I’m thrilled to introduce (or reintroduce!) myself to all you. 🙌

First things first, I’m a mum of three adorable girls. We’ve got an 8-year-old full of curiosity, a 5-year-old with boundless energy (and when I mean boundless I mean boundless 🙃), and the newest addition, our 8-month-old bundle of joy (and tiny little sleep thief). Yep, the juggle is REAL, and the chaos is our special brand of fun!

Ever had one of those “ah-ha” moments? Well, mine came while I was elbow-deep in scrubbing a highchair tray (again). 💡 I thought, “Why not create a smock that covers the whole tray?” And voilà, the Mess Me Not Smock adventure began!

Our Mess Me Not Smocks recently won an award for Best Baby Product for Home and have been featured on channel 7’s Sunrise, recommended by paediatric dieticians and have saved the sanity of thousands of parents. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’m a primary teacher by trade and started this business at the end of my maternity leave with my second. I had ZERO business knowledge prior but thought why not and gave it a go. Not going to lie, it has been quite a wild ride to get this far but I am committed to helping parents and bringing back the joy to mealtimes without the stress of the cleanup at the end. 🌼💫

Check out this easy breakfast for babies 👶🏼🥣

I’ve found the easiest way to serve Weetbix to my 8 month old is to prepare one Weetbix with boiling water, just enough to make the Weetbix wet. Next roll the Weetbix into logs around one to two fingers thick. Finally roll the Weetbix logs in desiccated coconut. This method allows little ones to hold them and they just break apart in their mouths*. Much easier than loaded spoons where they have to coordinate the spoon as well. (And less likely to be flung across the room like with a spoon too!)

For some variety mix in some fruit purée to the Weetbix mixture too 🍐🍎

*Ensure the Weetbix are cool prior to serving.
