What's your Saturday look like? My morning has been filled with creativity, coffee, audiobooks and a bit of alternative rock now that my book has finished 😆
All at different stages of completion, all completley different from each other. I do love the unique expression each piece brings.
Oh well, breaks over, back to it!

What a privilege this custom hat was to create. The top design is artwork by local Aboriginal artist Talaana Gabriel created for her Mum Kelly. It tells this story;
"The dragonfly is something that seems to pop up for me when I’m a little down and I seen so many around the time my dad passed, so it has a lot of meaning to me.
In the dragonfly wings are my girls in one set and my boys in the other. In the body is a meeting place with my husband and myself. The infinity symbol signifies that we are always connected and always come back to each other no matter our paths. And the stars around it are my 4 kids and the 5th one is a girl I raised who is still a big part of our lives." What a beautiful way to symbolise their family.

We complimented the dragonfly theme with a water lilly and dragonfly scene on the underside of the brim, and i think the result was something beautiful and personal that will be cherished. Gorgeous.
