We also bring you handmade bags, including our infamous 'Wing It' bags, made with love by yours truly, Tania Martin. Additionally, we prepare various bag kit sets, as either hard shell kits, or ready-to-sew pattern cut outs including hardware and stabilisers. Recently, we began branching out, and now offer you ready-made gifts, homewares and personalised printing on fashion items including t-shirts and headwear. BFLV Business owner, Tania Martin, shares her story. I have always wanted to share my knowledge and experience with like-minded people. I hurt my shoulder mid 2021, which kept me off work for almost a year. I couldn’t perform my normal work duties so I thought what is there for me? Craft and creating have always been part of my life in fact crafting helped me through some real dark and hurtful times in my life. Omgosh, I think I have done just about every craft going, well it feels like it! So when I came across marine vinyl many years ago, it was a natural progression to combine my knowledge of reupholstering furniture with my craft background. Mind you, it was so expensive way back when. A few years ago, I explored the area of bag making and decided that I wanted to be known as a bag maker. Again the transition into bag making was easy, considering my 40 years, plus in the craft industry. Being self-taught, I love to explore and develop new techniques. After making my first bag from canvas I went straight onto Vinyl. I have spent many years experimenting with fabrics, vinyl, metal and wood, then I came across printed Faux Leather. It was a game changer for me. Wow, I just totally fell in love with it. There is no limit to what you can do. I would get so many questions! Where did you get your Faux and Vinyl from? Can you teach me how to use it? I have damaged my Faux can you help me? These are just a few questions I received. With the uncertainty of my shoulder and job security, I decided I was going to start a small family online business selling Beautiful Faux Leather and Vinyl.
