Gosh this year is flying! How are we MID October already?!

This week will see me say goodbye to my senior classes and honestly, I’m not sure I’m ready. I went way out of the comfort zone and made them a little parting gift.

I’m well underway sewing for our after-Christmas trip - have you figured out where yet?

Me - ‘Oh wouldn’t it be so cute to make my graduating students a personalised end of year gift?’

Also me, up to my eyeballs in zippers, marking, uni assignments and term four planning - ‘I regret my life choices’

A walk on the wild side with two different types of interfacing, ten different woven/non stretchy fabrics, three different sewing patterns, working with zips for only the third time, and a fun trip to Spotlight.

Now if I can find the list of who is getting which, we will be gold…

Tomorrow - back to regular programming: more uni assignments, still avoiding marking, and working through Christmas and holiday sewing. Let’s go!

Because sewing is cheaper than therapy … well, sometimes.

The ‘to sew’ list took a massive hit this week. Pretty stoked at how much I managed to get through! Now I’ve only got one dress to finish, one new order to cut, and a shirt to finish for our end of year trip. Wowza! (until the next fabric delivery that is!)

I’ve been dying to try this jumpsuit out for a while, and finally committed to getting it done. She needs a few little tweaks to make it sit a bit better on me - but overall I’m happy.

Now, to find a shirt for under and to make the second attempt that I’ve got on my mind 😍

Over the weekend Bug got to head to the movies to see the new PP movie - it was pretty cool! Naturally, she needed a new matching outfit for the occasion. And now I’m all obsessed with matching sets again.
