A very productive Easter break so far! I finished a hexagon jacket and started another, made hot cross buns, my crosses were a bit naff 😝 but the thought was there and they were delicious which is the main thing. And last but certainly not least my footy team won, go you roo boys 💙🤍

This one was finished a few months ago, but I had all the ends to sew in 😫 so today I watched The Beatles on YouTube and finally finished. The pattern is Compendium a Shelley Husband design and the wool is Bendigo Woollen Mills Whisper in shade Carambola. Photographed on my king size bed for size

There is nothing like the cooler mornings to get me itching to start a new winter knitting project, a garment to see me through the long but lovely Tasmanian winter. I found the pattern while op shopping, mind you it is still available for purchase on the website for only $4AU. I am using some gorgeous BWM Tweed in the aptly named shade Wild Honey that has been sitting in my stash cupboard waiting for the perfect project. So I’m calling this project Honeycomb Jacket and I’ve even purchased some cute bee buttons from Etsy to complete the whole honey Bee theme 🐝🍯🧶

My very first hat, everything I’ve heard about this pattern is true, it is a wonderful design and perfect for that skein of sock wool that is way too beautiful for socks! Made with gorgeous hand dyed sock wool from in a very beautiful shade snow leopard. Made for my secret santa recipient who, thanks to our lovely Tassie weather could wear it straight away and not have to put it away until winter. See every cloud or in this case, a cold summer so far, does have a silver lining ❄️💨
