We host pre-loved clothing markets in Mackay multiple times a year.

The money boards at our markets have become a firm favourite with both shoppers and stallholders and they'll back again at this Sundays' market!

The team from Wildlife Rehabilitation Qld will be onsite to sell you a $2 lucky square, answer questions and raise awareness for their organisation.

Not sure how the money boards work? Keep reading ⬇️

* Each board has 100 squares which are sold for $2 per square
* Boards will be drawn as soon as they are fully sold
* Winners will be drawn at random using a number generator
* The prize for each fully sold board will be $100 cash
* If a board is not completely sold by the end of the event, the board will be drawn and the prize will be the dollar value of how many squares have been sold. EG If 60 squares have been sold the prize money will be $60.

A fully sold money board makes $200. The winner of the board gets $100 cash. Wildlife Rehabilitation QLD gets $100. The more boards sold, the more winners and the more money raised! 💚

📢 Shoutout to Mackay City Girl Guides who will be hosting the sausage sizzle at the Sweet Repeats markets this Sunday 6 September.

They'll be raising funds for their organisation AND raising awareness for Safe Sleep Mackay, so be sure to stop by their stall for a late breakfast, early lunch or both! 🌭

As a low waste event, we encourage the use of reusables as much as possible, so please note that while the stall will also have cans of softdrink available, they WILL NOT be selling bottles of water. A Mackay Regional Council chilled water refill station will be available just inside the market entrance. 😊

Big shoutout to Soroptimist International Mackay who have been great supporters of the Sweet Repeats market since the very beginning and who use the market as a fundraising opportunity for their organisation. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬.

Never heard of them? The official wording is "transforming the lives and status of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities and regularly providing physical and financial support to various local organisations."

My wording is that they are a fabulous bunch of women who do some absolutely awesome things in our community and are involved with and support some really great local initiatives. They do good. Lots of good!

Let that sink in... 200,000 tonnes... every year... just in Australia... 😪

Papa Bens Coffee Van joins us again on Sunday 6th September and Ben and his team will be brewing up a storm (or at least some really good coffee 😉) to keep you caffeinated while you browse the stalls looking for those 'new to you' pieces!

We're committed to keeping our events as low waste as possible and we truly appreciate our fabulous coffee vendors working with us to make that possible by NOT using single use cups on market day. So don't forget to BYO!!
