Wearable Earth

Handmade pendants created from a natural gemstone and woven and wrapped wire. It is an intricate and time consuming art form.

Wire wrapping has been used as a technique to make jewellery since as far back as 2000BC. It is the only jewellery making method that uses no soldering or casting, with the loops and curves of the wire holding the stone and each other in place. I love working with natural materials of stone, crystals and metal, and find it a grounding and meditative process. Each gemstone is a small gift from natu

re, with a meaning that comes from thousands of years of folklore. The small piece of comfort or clarity that people can gain from a talisman that has a history that means something to them personally is a wonderful thing. No two pieces are the same, and are made with the care and kind intent that comes with handmade products.

I love these little dyed sea sediment hearts ❤️ Paired with an Amethyst and a teeny Garnet gives it just the right 'death becomes her' vibes.

I'm going to be at Newcastle Alternative market at Gosford Leagues this weekend... there's some amazing other vendors that I'm so excited to check out. Plus, I get to experiment with all the designs my witchy heart desires this week in preparation. This is probably the most popular of my repeated designs, and I love a small and sweet pendant.
The Lapis Lazuli in the middle looks just like a night sky, and I've paired it with a black and a white moonstone at the top and bottom.

I'm aiming to make some more of these in different stones and in Sterling Silver, for some options for the markets I have coming up.
