Life in the super slow lane looks like 6 months of no feed posts 🤪.
10 months since closing Lunarsea Designs silently after my e bike crash last May and injuring the nerves in my dominate arm.
4 months of Zephyr deciding to he wanted to homeschool.
Our main focus for homeschool so far has been daily flow.
Each of us finding out place in the daily workings of the home/work/education space.
There is lots of gardening, baking, reading books outside in the garden, crafting and potion making.
Zephyr spends at least two hours a day in the chook pen amongst the Lilly pillies! 🌸
Zephyr was always given the option to homeschool and he didn’t mind kindy too much with the 6 day fortnight but the main reason to want to homeschool is he felt 5 days a week separated from family sucked.
I really felt that too. We flowed okay with kindy but the five days made me feel empty. I thought I’d be over the moon with all the new spare time to focus on me and Lunarsea but I missed so much on the first 3 years with the blessing of my booming biz and I will never get that back, so to have this time now is such a blessing and healing.
To homeschool is commonly considered a privilege which in many ways it is as so many of us are tangled in a crappy capitalist system that feels impossible to escape sometimes. For us it came during a mega transition period of me injured and rolling with Peri Meno club and Ush finishing his sh*te contract and joining apm biz training to dive deeper into his web biz.
So we are currently rolling thru life on $850 a fortnight but we so much more privledge than others and by focusing living local as we have since moving back to margs almost a decade ago!
We are so blessed to live in an abundant food basin where I can shop at the local veg and organic shops and farmers market for way less than shopping in a supermarket. We also joined the local co op in 2021 and buying bulk nuts and grains and cleaning products had reduced are need for the local supermarket too!
We eat almost completely organic, grass fed top quality foods! It’s incredible and it’s also easy to grow here too!
