The forgotten homework

Sarah sat down at her desk and opened her bag.

Her smile faded.

“My homework…” she whispered.

She searched again.

And again.

But it wasn’t there.

“I left it at home,” she said, her voice shaking.

She looked around nervously.

“What if the teacher gets upset?”

Her eyes began to fill with tears.

Zuri, sitting next to her, noticed.

“Hey… it’s okay,” she said softly.

Sarah shook her head. “It’s not okay…”

Zuri gently touched her arm.

“I’ll help you,” she said.

“We can explain together. And after school, I’ll sit with you and we’ll do it again.”

Sarah looked at her, surprised.

“Really?”

Zuri nodded.

Sarah took a deep breath and smiled a little.

“Thank you…”

The Extra Turn

It was playtime on the court.

The children were taking turns shooting the ball. 🏀

Zuri loved playing, and when it was her turn,
she ran forward with a big smile.

But just as she was about to shoot,
she noticed Ben standing quietly at the side.

He hadn’t had a turn all day.

Zuri paused.

She looked at the hoop… then at Noah.

Then she passed him the ball.

“Your turn,” she said kindly.

Noah’s eyes widened.

“Really?”

Zuri nodded.

Noah took the shot—and scored!

He laughed with joy.

🌼 Le Cadeau de Fleur

Zuri jouait dans le jardin
lorsqu’elle remarqua son amie assise toute seule.

Sa tête était baissée, et elle avait l’air triste.

Zuri s’approcha doucement.

« Qu’est-ce qui ne va pas ? » demanda-t-elle doucement.

« Ma journée ne se passe pas bien », murmura son amie.

Zuri ne savait pas quoi dire.

Alors elle regarda autour d’elle…
et cueillit une petite fleur jaune. 🌼

Elle la plaça doucement dans la main de son amie.

« C’est pour toi. »

Son amie leva les yeux… surprise.

Puis, lentement, elle sourit.

💛 Parfois, les petits gestes de gentillesse en disent le plus.

The flower gift

Zuri was playing in the garden
when she noticed her friend sitting alone.

Her head was down, and she looked sad.

Zuri walked over slowly.

“What’s wrong?” she asked softly.

“My day is not good,” her friend whispered.

Zuri didn’t know what to say.

So she looked around…
and picked a small yellow flower. 🌼

She placed it gently in her friend’s hand.

“This is for you.”

Her friend looked up… surprised.

Then slowly, she smiled.

🚲 La Première Balade

Zac se tenait à côté de son vélo, un peu nerveux.

« Je vais tomber », dit-il.

Il avait déjà essayé… et ça ne s’était pas bien passé.

Noah s’approcha et sourit.

« Je vais t’aider », dit-il.

Il tint l’arrière du vélo pendant que Zac montait dessus.

« Prêt ? » demanda Noah.

Zac hocha la tête doucement.

Ils commencèrent à avancer.

Jake courait derrière, tenant la selle.

« Continue ! » dit-il.

Puis, sans que Zac ne s’en rende compte…
Noah lâcha le vélo.

Zac continua à rouler.

« J’y arrive ! » cria-t-il.

Il se retourna — et vit Noah en train de l’encourager.

The first ride

Zac stood next to his bike, feeling nervous.

“I’m going to fall,” he said.

He had tried before… and it didn’t go well.

Noah walked over and smiled.

“I’ll help you,” he said.

He held the back of the bike as Zac climbed on.

“Ready?” Noah asked.

Zac nodded slowly.

They started moving.

Jake ran behind, holding the seat.

“Keep going!” he said.

Then, without Tom noticing…
Noah let go.

Zac kept riding.

“I’m doing it!” he shouted.

He looked back—and saw Noah cheering.
