Then suddenly the racks are surrounded, people are trying things on, conversations are happening everywhere, and the ideas that lived in your head for months are standing there in real life.

A considered take on classic corduroy. Structured without feeling stiff, lightly padded for warmth, and designed to wear in better with time. The sort of layer that quietly becomes part of your routine.

Somewhere between a market stall and the future I’ve always imagined for DB.

Melbourne mornings. Heavy wool coats. Coffee runs. Garments packed into the car before sunrise and unpacked again piece by piece.

Getting to meet the people behind the screen, watching strangers connect with something I designed years ago in my sketchbooks… that part still feels surreal.

Some pieces take forever to feel right.
This trench was one of them.

I kept coming back to the shape, the weight, the way it moves when you walk. Wanting it to feel sharp and structured, but still like something you’d throw on instinctively every winter without thinking twice.

The eyelet detailing changed everything. Suddenly it stopped feeling too polished. Too safe. It got that darker edge I kept chasing.

The kind of coat that gives you a strange level of confidence the second you put it on.
