OUR STORY:
Being a nursing mother of a little baby myself i struggled to find good nursing pads that made my breastfeeding journey easier. The breast pads either were too small in diameter and protruded from my t-shirt or shifted around too much while in the bra. I had issues with a smell coming from the pads after a busy day from the milk and just wanted to find something affordable. I used to buy disposable nursing pads and decided to make my own, after making a few pads different shapes and sizes, giving them a real hard time in the washing machine i finally came to a product that could solve my issues.
I decided to change up the shape of the pad from a circle shape to a leaf shape so that it has a larger surface area for absorbtion. Instead of a flat shape, ive turned it into a more cup shape so it curves with the breast and is much more comfortable. The pad is composed of 4 layers, a super soft micro fibre towel for extra comfort and to make it a bit breathable, a fleece fibre for absorbance, a waterproof material so you dont leak and a cotton design for those that like to match their pairs. To make it even better, i cut and sew all the fabric myself and make it with love. My bust is small but i wanted to make an option for other mums to be able to get nursing pads that would suit their size. After all, we all have different shapes and sizes and it should be custom to us!
They are 100% reusable and after testing they still hold their shape and do their job no matter how many times they have been washed and dried.
