We’re all about sensory regulation. And with summertime sadly drawing to a close here in the Southern Hemisphere, we wanted to reflect on the summer that’s been, and all of the opportunities taken to get in some sensory regulation 🧡

Our favourite has to be the calming, organising effect that being buried under heavy sand can have on children. That delicious proprioceptive deep pressure can feel wonderful to an overstimulated nervous system.

Of course, sensory regulation is completely individualised- some children find the beach far too overwhelming and a sensory nightmare. We get it. Look out for future recommendations, which will absolutely avoid the beach!

Our chew necklaces are made from N A T U R A L R U B B E R (no silicone in sight!)

But what is natural rubber?

Natural rubber is harvested by skilfully tapping the bark of the Hevea Brasiliensis tree to release its milky sap. (This act does not harm the tree and in around 5 hours, the tree’s sap naturally coagulates at the excision site, sealing the tree from external bacterias and stressors.)

The sap is then filtered, coagulated, dried, pressed and moulded into our unique pendant design.

Our passion for this natural material is, partly due to the limited impact on the tree and the forest. Through correct practices, tapping the Hevea Brasiliensis trees allows for a sustainable, self-renewing resource.
