Ladies, are you looking for a fun, creative way to make a difference? Join our "Boomerang Bags" Noranda community sewers who meet the 2nd Saturday of every month. Come and help craft eco-friendly tote bags from recycled and new fabrics! 🧵 Every stitch you make helps reduce plastic waste and brings our community closer together.

🕧 Time: 12:30pm–4:00pm
📍 Where: SWitCH Centre, corner of Garson & Forder Sts, Noranda (park at the rear off Garson Court, next to Noranda Child Care Centre)

Why You’ll Love It:
- Make an Impact: Turn old fabrics like curtains and sheets into beautiful, reusable bags that locals can borrow or keep from shops and libraries.
- No Experience Needed: Never sewn before? No stress! You can cut, pin, iron, or just soak up the friendly vibes.

Sewers, bring your machine and scissors – we’ve got some spares if you don’t!
- Build Friendships: Think of it as a crafty “Women’s Shed” – laugh, chat, and connect with amazing women while creating something meaningful.

🎄🍿DECEMBER & PRE CHRISTMAS SEWING DAY🍿🎄

Please join us at our last 'lazy' Boomerang Bag Sewing Day for the year where we will do a little work, lots of chatting and probably even more eating! We would love for ALL our past and present 'Bag Ladies' to join us to celebrate our wonderful year where we have made well over 4,000 bags for the community.

Held at the "SWitCH Centre", Garson Court, Noranda.

🎄Saturday December 13th 2025🎄

From 12.30pm to 4.00pm

**🧁🍰Please bring a plate of Christmas food goodies to share at our special end of year celebration afternoon tea🍉🍒**

🚫We are taking our usual break in January and will be back again on Saturday 14th February 2026 (Valentines Day).🚫

All the Noranda & Surrounds Boomerang Bag ladies wish everyone a lovely Christmas and a New Year filled with happiness and especially good health. Take care and we will see you all in February 2026.

Everyone Welcome to come along in 2026 and help make bags. We have some spare machines for people to use if you don’t have your own.

Fabulous sewing day once again with 27 Boomerang bags produced by our jovial crew before the visit from our ‘Fairy Godmother’ Evelyn Henry who arrived with some delicious homemade Orange and Poppyseed cupcakes for our afternoon tea. They were really yummy. Thank you Evelyn for always looking after us😘

Condolences and flowers to Trish McKenna on the recent loss of her husband David.

See you all for our last Sewing session on December 13th. Please bring a plate of goodies to share for our Christmas afternoon tea on that day.

Don’t forget we are in recess in January, but we resume again on February 14th 2026.
