I had someone call me a jeweller the other day, I corrected them because I felt like a fraud accepting that title 😂
My skill set is veryyyyy different to that of a jeweller, and I’m ok with that! My work is my work.
But actually I think that unless you work in this realm you wouldn’t know the difference which is ok.
But here’s some basic info on the difference between the two ✨
What do you think? Would you add anything to this?

I’ve heard a few people say this when I do events.

I can see in their faces that they fall in love with a piece only to second guess themselves by saying “but when would I wear it?”

Girl, WHENEVER YOU WANT!

I explain that you can make the jewellery the focal point OR accentuate an already beautiful outfit. Layer it.
Just go for it, really.

I know that everyone’s style is different, but honestly this jewellery is designed to make you feel powerful and protected, and I adore hearing people say that when they try these pieces on 💙

The evolution of Nembe.
As I start thinking about how I want to restructure my jewellery business this year, it's interesting to see the beginnings of my work till now!
I started creating 'Filigrana' in 2018 and have been refining my style and techniques ever since.
And this year I want to refine it even more!
I've really tried focusing hard on finishes as this type of wire work can be finicky, and need to make sure there are no bits that can snag.
I've decided to create ONLY necklaces and will continue to create one-off statement pieces.
I'm leaning towards a nice contrast of curves and gently geometric forms, as this is what I seem to be naturally drawn to.
I'm looking forward to what this year will bring for Nembe!
