Yesterday we headed to Norwood Ambulance Station to deliver another Debrief & Feed session, spending the afternoon with around 30 local paramedics.

It's easy to look at an ambulance parked outside a hospital, at a shopping centre, or waiting at the lights and forget that the people inside have probably already seen more before lunch than most people will see in a lifetime.

That's why sessions like these matter.

Not because we have all the answers. Not because one conversation fixes everything. But because creating space for people to talk honestly, share experiences, learn a few practical tools and connect with others who understand the job is bloody important.

A big thank you to the paramedics who gave up part of their day to be there, contribute to the discussion and look after one another.

We are heading to Norwood Station again on the 2nd of July - if you are able to attend we'd love to meet you šŸ¤™šŸ¼

A huge thank you to
For supporting our Debrief & Feed program and feeding our hard working legends šŸ’ŖšŸ»

The Reload
16 May 2026

No fluff. No corporate buzzwords. No pretending a free fruit bowl fixes burnout or shows adequate appreciation 🤣

Just a room full of emergency services, military, veterans and other frontliners.

Some laughs. Some hard conversations. Some more laughs. Some practical skills and a reminder that there is a community around you.

Feedback surveys have been rolling in and they are overwhelmingly positive,

- 'Amazing day! Why is this not mandatory!'

Huge thanks to and .newlands for bringing authenticity, insight and plenty of laughs.

Thanks also to PASA, Police Health and Police Credit Union for helping make this event affordable and accessible to our community.

Most importantly, thanks to every person who showed up.
These jobs take plenty.
Hopefully The Reload put a little bit back.

Thanks for supporting the event as always.

Thanks and

Our thoughts go out to the friends, family and colleagues of Lachlan Muddle, and the wider ADF family.

Warrant Officer Second Class Lachlan Muddle, a highly experienced SAS operator and military freefall parachutist, was killed during a night-time parachute training exercise at Jervis Bay on 11 May 2026.

According to the ADF, both parachutists had successfully deployed their parachutes and were manoeuvring toward the drop zone using night vision goggles when they collided several hundred feet above the ground. The collision caused Muddle to crash into bushland, suffering fatal injuries despite immediate CPR and medical treatment.

The other soldier, an experienced sergeant from the ADF Parachute School, survived with minor injuries.

Muddle was 50 years old, joined the Army in 1994, and later served with Special Operations Command. He had completed multiple overseas deployments, including Afghanistan, and was described by senior Defence leaders as an elite sniper and respected operator.

There’s no way to dress this one up.

A call comes in — someone in trouble on the water, near the bar off Ballina.

The crews on Marine Rescue NSW vessels aren’t paid emergency responders. They’re trained locals — tradies, retirees, shift workers — who give up their time to crew boats, monitor radios, and respond when something goes wrong offshore.

Well something did go wrong.

A crew formed, and went out to help. A crew of regular people who just step up when it matters.

Conditions were rough and the rescue vessel rolled while crossing the Ballina Bar, near the river mouth and breakwall. That stretch is known for standing waves and unpredictable conditions, especially in swell — which is what they were dealing with at the time.

Two of those volunteers didn’t make it home.

The man they were trying to reach didn’t either.

The four remaining Marine Rescue crew managed to make it to land, albeit with some injuries.

Our thoughts are with the families of those crew members lost, including the civilian they were attempting to help, as well as the surviving crew members and other responders involved in the incident.

Our volunteers deserve the highest levels of respect and appreciation.

To all the crews who’ll still turn out next time the pager goes off - we appreciate you.

If anyone wants to send some love to someone involved, you can do it via the Pay it Forward on our website.

Swipe. Those feet aren’t from a bad day… they’re from purpose.

Meet Harry.

Current ADF.

He stepped off from the School of Infantry, Lone Pine Barracks with one goal—230km to Gunnedah by Anzac Day.

30kg on his back. Rifle weight.
No shortcuts. No comfort. Just kilometres and consequences.

Because right now, there are people on shift—frontline, military—holding it together for everyone else… while quietly falling apart themselves.

No one sees it.
Sometimes no one’s meant to.

Harry marched for them.

Through Singleton, Muswellbrook, Aberdeen, Scone, Murrurundi, Willow Tree and Quirindi—step after step, blister after blister. Until he made the difficult decision to stop due to injury.

154km.

Not the full distance.
But don’t mistake that for falling short.

With a $2k goal, he raised $5,320—and a whole lot more awareness along the way.
That’s what backing your community looks like.

He didn’t do it for recognition.
But we’ll give it anyway.

From all of us at Aussie Frontline—solid effort mate šŸ»šŸ‡šŸ‡²

There’s a lot people will say about what happened in Alice Springs.

Most of it will focus on the offender.
Some of it will focus on the crowd.

But not enough will be said about the ones who still had to step in and do their job.

Police. Ambos. Hospital staff.

They didn’t get to stand back and process it.

They walked straight into it—knowing exactly what they were walking into.

Some of them were injured doing it.

That’s the part that shouldn’t get lost.

There’s no ignoring the community grief behind it all, and there are cultural realities people will point to. Community outrage at the vile offender is completely understandable.

But violence toward first responders isn’t something that can be justified or accepted—no matter the circumstances.

The last thing those first responders involved needed, was to be targeted and injured for doing their job.

To those who showed up, held their ground, and looked after others in the middle of it — Respect.

To those injured - we are thinking of you.

We have no doubt that every single responder involved wants justice for innocent 5 year old Kumanjayi Little Baby šŸ•Šļøā¤ļø

Stabbed. On shift. Getting a coffee.

One of our own in Ambulance Victoria was attacked today — not at a job, not in chaos… just standing there in uniform.

Stable. But it shouldn’t have happened.

It’s not ā€œpart of the job.ā€ It’s a system and cultural failure when those who serve the community are attacked.

We are sending our thoughts to the injured member, and wish to express our gratitude for the the member of the public who assisted as well as other responding balance Victoria staff and police.

Treating a colleague, friend or member of your own crew is extremely difficult and confronting.

It hits differently to treating strangers.

If anyone would like to nominate people involved via our Pay it Forward, please DM ā¤ļø
