It's a phurphy that you have to have an expensive machine to create beautiful patchwork. What you need is a decent machine that will do straight stitch, and They all do. Get to know your machine. Learn about straight grain of fabric. Learn about seam allowances. Learn about warp and weft. Even if you have inherited a machine or have a machine that you've had forever. Don't be intimidated by it. Learn how to use it. Let me know if you would Like lessons. Don't overcapitalise by buying a machine with features you Will not need or don't know how to use. Learn about thread types. Know what you want to sew. My mother always said her"machine hated her" I think she had the bobbin in backwards! Contact me for more information.
