CAR SEAT INSTALLS: I am an Australian Child Restraint Resource Initiative (ACRI) accredited, safety advocate and have over seven years’ experience in fitting and installing child car safety seats. I offer an affordable on-site install service from the West Rockhampton store. I will check your child car safety seat, adjust it to fit your child, install it into your vehicle, instruct you how best t

o use the safety seat and advise you of important safety considerations. CAR SEAT CHECKS: Absolute Baby offers a peace-of-mind check of pre-installed car safety seats and will provide a 19-point written report to ensure the car safety seat is suited to your vehicle, fitted to your child and is installed safely. If any concerns are identified, I can provide free advice on corrections, or professionally install the car safety seat for a fee. CLEANING: Absolute Baby recognises that some families lack the time, knowledge and experience to keep their children's car safety seats and prams clean and healthy! I have seen prams covered in all sorts of moulds due to everyday life, poor cleaning and storage. As a child car seat installer, I have also seen safety seats continue to be used after soiling and after food scraps had long since decayed. If you are involved with a child care centre or family day care scheme, I can complete your ANNUAL CCSS AUDIT, checking over your installs and can provide installation and safety training to suit your specific needs. 🤔 Do you know if your child’s car safety seat crotch buckle is at the safe height?

✅ The correct placement of the crotch buckle is just as important as harness height in helping to keep your little one safe in the car.

Some car seats have an adjustable crotch harness so the buckle height can be changed, and other car seats use infant inserts to obtain a correct fit (and removing inserts too early can pose a risk).

Generally, the middle of the red button on the crotch buckle should to be at the top of bub’s thighs, low on the pelvis and as close to the body as possible. This ensures the harness spreads the forces of a collision evenly over the stronger bones of the body (hips and shoulders) and minimises the risk of your baby slipping forward or being ejected from their car seat in a collision.

Casual Retail Assistant
Approx. 8–32+ hours / fortnight

Your shifts will include:
🌸 Welcoming & helping customers
🌸 Processing sales & using our POS

🌸 Unpacking deliveries & restocking
🌸 General day-to-day shop tasks
