These were made up from the (now grown) kids' school uniforms.
And, what can you do with a bunch of show ribbons and one tie? Make a quilt!

Quilt restoration. A beautiful 40yr old handsewn, and very well loved quilt, needed lots of attention. I did question my sanity when I first said yes and then saw the quilt! But, I like a challenge.
Every piece was threadbare. I saved 4 blocks and made a 5th from the other blocks. Found some fabric that complimented the style and used the backing to rebuild the quilt top. The applique shapes were replaced and hand stitched.
The customer was very happy.

I just quilted a customer's cute baby quilt. She picked the pattern, named 'Brenda's Tulips' in my files. I think the stitching and quilt design compliment each other perfectly!

Finally finished these memory/story quilts. They can be hung up on curtain rods or snuggled under. The girls have grown up and have memories of their childhood. And a quilt for Mum, started by Grandma and finished by me.
I had fun embellishing the blocks with the different materials.

I was honoured to construct and quilt this from artwork created by immigrants and refugees to Australia. Each square represents someone's journey and experience coming to this country. Some have come from less than ideal circumstances and found more freedom here.

This was made from a bag of cute little baby clothes and a couple of baby wraps, a little extra floral material to pull it altogether. Made just in time for the little girls birthday party. I'm very happy with it but probably will avoid double knit type material (from knitted cardigan) in future as it gets pulled under the quilting foot.

So excited to finally have this amazing machine installed and running in my studio (ex lounge!) . This colourful quilt belongs to a customer.
