And here is my second quilt that was gifted a couple of days ago! This one was one of the most precious quilts Iāve made so far. Made from my late grandfathers ties for my nana, every part of the process of making this quilt felt special. The pattern was designed by myself using a foundation piecing style that retained the shape of each individual tie (from the thin ties of his youth to the thicker ties he wore later in life), the other fabrics selected by hand from the incredible and the quilt ended up being one of the first to be quilted on my new machine. More than 60 hours went into this quilt (I only know that because I finished the first two outlander audiobooks while making this quilt haha š) and I couldnāt be prouder of it š
