Thrive with Louisa

Thrive with Louisa 50s. Single income. Big mortgage. Absolutely not accepting that this is just "how it is." Broken is a choice. I'm choosing neither." You belong here. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

Honest money, calm living, and the occasional well-deserved rant. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

"Broke is temporary. ✨ Welcome to Thrive with Louisa! ✨

This page started because I needed it to exist πŸ’₯

Single income. $300k mortgage. Two elderly dogs with expensive taste in vet bills. And a WorkCover claim that nearly broke me....but didn't. I'm Louisa and I created this page because I couldn't find anyone online talking h

onestly about what it actually feels like to do this alone. So I decided to be that personπŸ’Ž

This isn't a page for twenty-somethings just starting out or couples pooling two incomes. It's for real, solo, capable, exhausted women over 40 who are carrying everything and still showing up every single day πŸ™Œ

Expect real money tips, calm living strategies, brutal honesty and the occasional well-deserved complaint about the price of absolutely everything πŸ’‘

Friday reminder, your direct debits are quietly draining you and most people have no idea how much. πŸ’Έ
I found $115 a month I was paying for absolutely nothing. Subscriptions I'd forgotten. Apps I never used. A gym membership that was basically a charity donation to the gym at that point.
Tonight, download 3 months of bank statements and highlight every recurring charge. I promise you will find money.
Drop a πŸ’Έ below if you're going to do this tonight. I want to know how much you find.

Can I be honest with you for a second?

There are nights I lie awake running the mortgage numbers in my head. Over and over.
*What if the rate goes up again. *What if something breaks.
*What if I can't work.
What if, what if, what if.....

If you've ever done that, you're not alone. And you're not failing. You're just a real person carrying a real weight, with nobody beside you to share it.

But I've started to reframe it. That mortgage isn't my burden. It's my mission.
Every single payment is proof that I showed up. That I kept going. That I refused to let the circumstances win.

Your mortgage doesn't define your worth. It defines your mission.
Are you carrying a mortgage on a single income right now? Tell me in the comments, I genuinely want to know I'm not the only one. πŸ’š
P.S. Free guide in my bio β€” 5 things I cut to save $500 a month. Go grab it.
