There is a lot more rainfall still to come folks in Central & Southeast Queensland!
Last nights deluge on the Capricornia Coast was just the beginning, with heavy showers and rain extending south today into the Burnett, northern Downs, Maranoa and Sunshine Coast this afternoon. Tomorrow, heavy falls are likely within the black outline, with the potential for heavy rain to extend into Brisbane. Monday will bring further but more isolated heavier rain closer to the Wide Bay and Burnett coasts.
After 250mm at Miriam Vale last night I don't see it being impossible for some really isolated 400mm+ falls this event, with more general widespread falls around 180-300mm along the Capricornia Coast and just inland as well as the Sunshine Coast, decreasing to 100mm north of Brisbane and about 75mm-ish around Brisbane, which is an uncertain forecast at this time.
More updates later today, I will keep you posted when new modeling is out. Cheers, Josh.
