It’s getting HOT🔥so this month we gather at Victoria Park (Camperdown) in the grassy shade near the Pool entrance, if anyone wants to go in for a splash💦

BRING a small wrapped gift for a round of Secret Santa/ Kris Kringle ($15 max)🎁

We’ll provide the snacks, sunscreen, and soft drinks!

This is our final Q***r Social Club for the year, until we return for 2024. We’ve been so overwhelmed by the response to the idea, and have so much love for the incredible folks we’ve had the absolute privilege of meeting since starting QSC this year. Thanks for making it the joyous, safe and supportive environment of our dreams 💜

So we got some news to share. We’ve decided not to renew our lease on our shop. While we were remodeling the shop - something just didn’t feel right. We took a step back to have a long think about where we want to take the label. Ultimately - we want to simplify our life, not always chase the next big thing, and have some flexibility so we can enjoy our q***r life outside of the business. Having the pressure to open a shop all year around, constantly producing our designs and everything else that’s involved in running a business just isn’t sustainable for us at the moment. We’ve decided to find some balance by just focusing on our festival pop-ups and online.

🌈Just want to say a huge, huge, huge thank you to everyone who came in to say hello and support us. We definitely felt the love! Looking forward to seeing you all over the summer and beyond at one of our upcoming pop-ups. We have a few lined up - so keep an eye out for announcements! And of course - our monthly Q***r Social Club gatherings will continue.

How good was it to relax in the afternoon sun last month for QSC Spring Picnic?! Shake off the week with us this November 17th, a Friday evening in Newtown.

We’ve been so chuffed at everyone’s generosity in bringing snacks for the group to share - so this time, please consider bringing a plate if you have capacity to do so!

(We will organise drinks and BBQ eats🍖)

Of course, it will still be a relaxed and safe space to meet fellow LGBTQIA+ folk in the Inner West. Chats and ideas exchange, with activities, music and fun in the sun.

All aged 18+ welcome.
 Drinks and snacks, cushions and sun shade provided.

We recommend bringing a chair if that would be more comfortable for you, and appropriate sun protection.

These events take place on unceded Gadigal land. We pay our respects to elders past present and emerging. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.

💜💜💜Today is “Wear It Purple Day!” - a special day where LGBTQIA+ youth and allies come together to wear shades of purple. This collective gesture sends a powerful message to our rainbow youth – you are seen, supported, and respected. Each person has the right to embrace their true self, and to be proud of the journey they're on.

Wear It Purple Day began in Australia as a response to heartbreaking stories of young lives lost due to bullying and harassment. Today, it has transformed into an international celebration and a remarkable show of support.

This year's theme, "Write Your Story," amplifies the voices of LGBTQIA+ youth, emphasizing personal expression and individuality.

“In a world where social media, the media and our education system often creates pressure to conform to norms, broken structures and set standards, the ‘Write Your Story’ theme encourages young people to embrace their unique perspectives and to share their stories with others,” said, Victoria Adams, Youth Action Council .

Join us in supporting Wear It Purple Day:
🌟 Engage with your school or organization to ensure they're creating supportive spaces.
🌟 Educate yourself on topics like pronouns, coming out, and gender identity.
🌟 Attend panels and events to strengthen connections within the LGBTQ+ community.
🌟 Keep courageous conversations alive even beyond this day.
🌟 And… wear something purple!

WHAT: An event by q***r folks, for q***r folks. With a focus on building friendships, hobbies, and connections in your local area, whether you’re a long-time local or just moving in.

Perhaps clubs aren’t your thing, or you’re looking for low-key vibes. Maybe you’re a quiet cup of tea person who still wants to dip their biscuit into a thoughtful chat?

There will be games, conversation starters, sensory spaces, music and snacks to sweeten the deal.

WHO: it’s us, but it’s also you! We are passionate about making this space welcoming for all LGBTQIA+ folks and allies. Over time, we hope a like-minded group of people will grow and grow until they make their own groups, and then those groups make their groups, and then…you get the idea.
