A few changes are coming to the Upper Cut Co Flatpack Fire Pit.

I’ve been working through the new fire pit branding, updated design details, accessories and a few improvements to make the whole setup feel more complete.

I’m not ready to share the new name just yet, but the goal is simple:

Keep it practical.
Keep it Australian made.
Keep it easy to transport, store and use.
And keep building something people are proud to have in the backyard, at camp, around the BBQ area or beside the shed.

This is the part of small business people don’t always see — testing, adjusting, redesigning, second-guessing, improving, and trying to get the product right before putting it properly out into the world.

A custom flatpack fire pit made for Emu Plains JRLC’s 60-year celebration.

This one was designed, plasma cut, cleaned up and assembled in the Upper Cut Co workshop, with the club name and 1967–2026 anniversary detail cut into the steel.

These are the kind of jobs I enjoy making.

Something personal.

Planned to record a heap of content.

Ended up spending hours trying to work out why the plasma machine wouldn’t work.

Turns out I forgot to connect the air compressor.

That’s small business sometimes.
