I picked up Pen Letter’s Imperial Romance and Holy Maid collab inks with Colorverse which a friend kindly brought back from Korea which I shared on stories.

There was a lot of interest in how the inks look so here are the swatches and writing on TRP in my Hobonichi avec. These inks come in standard and shimmer versions which of course means I picked up the shimmer ones and had them inked up immediately.

In the bottle, both go on wet as green brown but immediately as they start to dry the pink starts to pop out for Imperial Romance while Holy Maid has develops lovely shading.

A closer look at range of colours from Taro Paste Paw Cake 🐾

Tomoe River shows the most colourful shading when the ink pools, allowing an almost iridescent range of colours whereas MD paper flattens it in conjunction with the cream base paper showing more of a plainer pale brown. On Cosmo Air Light, the colour becomes much cooler and interestingly a mint chocolate tone comes out on Null Refill paper.

This release features two regular colours Taro Paste Paw Cake and Coconut Milk Meow Meow Roll, and a limited edition Cherry Blossom Sweet Cookies.

As with Kitty Inkpot’s signature chromoshading style, these inks can manifest in very different colours depending on the paper you use.

I want to see the ending with you✨

I told myself last September that I should do one small drawing a month in my journal. 6 months passed without me noticing so I set a new goal to do a full page illustration. The whole page is done with only Moonlit Rose Garden ink with Moon Gold metallic accents and I’m really happy with how this turned out as my second ink drawing ✍️

Our Soe & Soe exclusive Moonlit Rose Garden is expected to be restocked in early April.
