When Pantone announced Cloud Dancer as a colour of the year, it stopped me for a second, because it’s almost exactly how I’ve always seen our Buttercream.

I know the reaction online has been pretty mixed; a lot of people were hoping for something louder, brighter, more exciting than “another white.” And honestly, I get it.

But there’s something about this kind of white. The soft warmth, the gentle depth, that doesn’t show up in photos or swatches the way it does in real life. It’s quiet, but it isn’t flat. It’s simple and has an “oomph” you only notice once it’s in your space.

We’ve never really found the right words to describe our Buttercream (nor capture it). Somehow, Cloud Dancer comes close.

Hey there, and a big welcome to those who are new here!
We’re Nadia and Luqman, the faces (and hands) behind Thick and Thin. We started this little bedding brand from our garage in Sydney not too long ago; somewhere between big dreams, a baby, and endless cups of coffee.

The story behind our brand is simple: we couldn’t find bedding that ticked all the boxes. Everything we tried was either too expensive, too complicated, or didn’t feel as good as it should.

So we set out to change that.
We believe everyone deserves to sleep in natural fibres; bedding that feels comfortable, is made ethically, and is genuinely within reach.

Every order you place is still packed by us, right here at home. Every review is importantly to us. And every new face that joins this community truly means the world.
