Hope everyone is winning 🙂

It brings me no pleasure to write this, but in defence of my late father’s legacy and, quite frankly, basic human decency, I feel compelled to address the source of a testicular discomfort caused only by the most amoebish of modern Australia’s ideological cesspools: Neo-Fascism.

I generally hate discussing my personal views in public but this needs to be said;

For anyone who watched ABC's Four Corners program last night, you may have, like us, been disgusted to notice that the iconic audience call-back to The Angels' anthem ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ had been hijacked by a group of, at best, ideologically naive di*****ds, and at worst, gutless, fascist, neo-Nazi filth.

I understand that there is a lot of political, cultural, and socioeconomic tension in the world right now, and that in some cases, people are letting their tempers flare. However, it should go without saying that all forms of racism—especially the kind being pushed by these misguided Hi**er enthusiasts—have no place anywhere, least of all in a world where Doc Neeson could write a song like AIEGSYFA.

I can assure you, Doc—himself an immigrant to Australia—would be absolutely mortified and enraged to see his lyrics being changed and co-opted to promote fascist or racially intolerant ideologies.

None of us are perfect, but let’s at least have the courage, strength, and decency to do our best. Doc would never have stood for this kind of dangerous lunacy, and frankly, no one should. If anyone reading this still harbours these Nazi-inspired far-right beliefs, with all the goodwill I have, I strongly encourage you to reconsider how this hatred and fanaticism is truly benefiting you or your families.

In the meantime, please, if only even for the love and respect of a great rock-and-roll tune, my family and I would greatly appreciate it if you would, unequivocally and incontestably, refrain from using my father’s music in whatever maleficence you variously seem so compelled to practice.
