“Everyone talks about toddlers who won’t eat…
But what about the ones who never seem to stop? 😅🍌

This week I caught myself wondering if my toddler eats too much.
Milk, banana, another banana… and then breakfast again at daycare.

Cue the mum anxiety:
Am I overfeeding?
Is this emotional eating?
Is something wrong?

So I wrote a blog post about it. For every mum who has ever googled ‘is my toddler eating too much?’ at 2am.

Because sometimes our babies aren’t ‘too hungry’…
They’re just growing. 🤍

Your toddler eats all the time? Learn why big appetites in toddlers are normal, healthy, and often a sign of growth—not emotional eating or overfeeding.

🥄 Feeding a 16-month-old can feel exciting… and a little scary too.

If you’ve ever wondered “Am I cutting this food small enough?” — you’re not alone 🤍

As toddlers grow, they learn to chew and explore textures, but food size and shape still matter for safety. With a few simple adjustments, mealtimes can feel calmer, safer, and more confident.

We’ve just shared a new blog post on the Baby Ollie Blog with:
✔️ Safe food cutting tips
✔️ Choking prevention guidance
✔️ Reassurance for parents doing their best

✨ No fear. No guilt. Just gentle, practical advice.

🌷 Motherhood is full of joys, challenges, and everything in between. One thing I’ve learned is that mums need mums — a community where we can lift each other up.

But in some conversations, I’ve also seen the harder truths: not every mum has a safe home or the support she deserves. That reality breaks my heart. 💔

I wrote a blog post to share some resources that might bring comfort and practical help for mums who need it. Even if this doesn’t apply to you directly, sharing it could reach someone who really needs to see it today.

💜 You are never alone.

When it came time to choose childcare for Ollie, I’ll be honest — my heart was in my throat. 💛

I wanted to make sure he’d be safe, cared for, and in a place that felt right. So I made myself a little checklist: safety, cleanliness, staff ratios, and whether the carers truly saw the kids they were looking after.

Visiting the centre and looking out for those details helped calm some of my nerves (not all of them — let’s be real, this step is huge). But it gave me confidence that I was making the best decision I could for Ollie.

If you’re about to take this step too, I’ve put together a simple guide with the things I looked for when choosing childcare. Maybe it can help another mum’s heart feel a little lighter. 💛

Next week, Ollie starts childcare… and if I’m honest, I think it’s harder on me than on him.

I’ve already visited twice, and instead of relaxing, my mind went straight into overdrive. I saw crumbs on the floor he might eat, sharp corners he might bump his head on, and sand he’ll almost certainly try to taste. And the carers — as kind as they are — can’t hover the way I do.

Ollie is happy and content, which probably means he’ll be fine. But I’m scared. Scared something will happen, scared he’ll miss me, scared to let go — even for a few hours.

Maybe writing this is my way of calming down. Maybe it’s my way of saying: if you’ve felt this too, you’re not alone. 💛

Starting childcare is harder on mums than babies. Here’s my honest story about fear, letting go, and why this step feels so overwhelming.

☀️ Our first picnic with Ollie felt like planning a military mission. Lists, spare clothes, toys, bottles, hats… you name it, I packed it.

I used our CarryNest Travel Duffel Bag and (surprise, surprise) half the things never came out of it. 😅 But the peace of mind was priceless.

Our friends were so respectful, giving us space, and I finally felt like we could go out as a family and enjoy the moment. Nervous? Yes. Overpacked? Definitely. Worth it? Absolutely. 💛

Our first outing with baby Ollie was equal parts nerves and joy. Here’s how I prepared (and overpacked!) for a picnic that turned into a beautiful memory.

💩 Changing a diaper at 10 months = wrestling a tiny, giggling alligator.
My strategies?
👉 Lift his legs so he can’t escape mid-change
👉 Hand him his HarmonyPals musical plush (sometimes works)
👉 Sing whatever song pops into my head

And when all else fails? A half-empty box of cotton tips does the trick. 😂

Turns out, babies love “boring” household objects because they’re perfect for sensory play — exploring sound, touch, and movement. So at least I know there’s science behind the madness.

Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful journeys I’ve ever experienced, but it was also one of the most overwhelming. 💛

There’s so much advice, so many opinions, and at times I felt like I was drowning in information — while also dealing with all the emotions that came with preparing for birth and motherhood.

I remember wishing I had something simple, supportive, and honest to guide me through — something that spoke to both the practical side (like what to pack in my hospital bag) and the emotional side (like how to calm my worries at night).

That’s why I wrote From Bump to Baby. It’s a collection of the tips, resources, and little truths I leaned on during pregnancy, all in one place.

If you’re expecting or planning to, maybe my words can help you feel a little less alone on your journey. 🌷
