Literally the crowning glory of this amazing armoire. The pediment and base are just too big to work on in the studio so I’m working onsite this week. Cleaning a lifetime of grime and dirt , preparing and painting. Hopefully it will be completed this week, I can’t wait to see it reconstructed.

Working the front pieces to get the blending right. Next I’ll bring in the 3m top and base so that i have a better picture of the front of this incredible Armoire .

This beautiful wardrobe ( my new Commission) is very unique. Standing 3 metres wide with gorgeous ornate mouldings I can get my teeth into.
Luckily she came in pieces as I have no room in my new studio, but my client is happy we work in stages.
Today I gave her a good clean and removed decades of grime and stripped the past motifs from the doors. I will stay with neutral soft colours and give her a beautiful facelift.

My recent commission, to
restore this beautiful chair . Honestly when it arrived, it held the stain from many years of wear and had unknown markings from being stored in the garage for decades. But it was a family treasure and not to be discarded.
Patience and dedication in the studio to bring back its beauty has paid off.
I think a lovely cowhide seat or a lovely velvet upholstery will finish her off nicely.
