Today was day two of my Sew Swirly Tote class at Patchwork Maze. The students did an amazing job, learning about fabric making or ‘ knitting’ on the overlocker, rolled hem braid, piping, putting in a zip, decorative edges and of course construction all on the overlocker. You might have seen my stories from last week making butterfly / fairy wings . The very best thing about sewing is making something you are proud of and brings joy to yourself or others. Ist book week dress up for my granddaughter and she is wearing the wings I made. I created the straps using the rolled hem technique I teach in Learning to Love your Overlocker, easy, fun and it works every-time.

Coverstitch-Sew much more than just a hem was the last class at Set On Sewing and Craft before heading home. We had a great day learning all things coverstitch including binding, gathering, top coverstitch, even repairing underwear (no pics of this)
There was a Soft Loc & Flannelette purchase inspired from the overlocking class - such pretty colours !
We finished class and I was straight to the airport and on a flight to Melb. Thanks so much Angela and team for looking after me so well, I’m am so very lucky I am able to meet so many amazing people doing what I love.
