Finished article! Not to shabby. This is holding my full water bottle. I want to check if it can handle the weight. No lining as yet.

Progress update: crocheting with raffia is not for the faint hearted. I'm talking frequent hand breaks because raffia doesn't stretch like yarn.But... I'm nearing the finish line, just two more rows and I can add the handle.". I'm not exactly a sewing whiz, so I'm not sure about the lining, but the base is solid, so I might be able to get away without one. Hoping to get to the finish line today.

Soooo....I'm back! Well not really. Actually I'm travelling around the country with hubby and our dog Pablo. I brought my earring making gear thinking I would make some along the way. This is the first opportunity I've really had to sit and make some.
I'm in Mt Gambier S.A. Staying with some lifelong friends. They have a budgie named Billy. These are my Billy boy earrings made from his shed feathers.
They don't tickle at all. 🥰

Just finished this market bag. It's made from raffia and is quite sturdy. I've been testing it for shopping and carrying my large (full) Yeti water bottle and other things so it's quite sturdy. The handles have not stretched.
I'm not selling them yet it will be a couple of months before I'm ready to make anything for sale.
In the meantime, My question is what do you think? What would you be prepared to pay for something handmade like this?
It took quite a few hours to make the parts and join them together and construct the handles. This bag measures approximately 35cm from point to base and loaded with my water bottle and a couple of other items is about 80cm diameter.

Finished off the earrings I have been making. Wood burned, Paint is water colour, then sealed and varnished. All one of a kind as they are handmade.
These babies are coming to The Philippines with me as gifts for the family. (Hope they like them)😅

One of the pouches I have made. These will be small. Just enough to hold a mobile phone, lippy and tissues maybe.
