After seeing some videos , pics , story of recent 3 r**e details
My 20 years old daughter is panicking
I told her in a mall when I was with her ( I never allowed her to go outside alone ) there was a photocopy place in second floor of the same building to save time as she was fasting and it was afternoon told her to quickly go 1 level up make scan copy and come bavk where I was working on other documents online
She became pale and panicked
I never saw her that scared and nervous
Then I didn't insist her to go rather I gave her mental support and we finally went together to make scan print
After iftar when I asked her what happened to her is she ok . She said she stopped using fb as she is very scared to see the r**e victim 8 years old girl . She died . She is no more with us . But see tge impact 20 years old my own daughter when I was encouraging her to apply for some part time work from now to have practical experience and build her career
By tge time she will finish her undergraduation she will also have some work experience
Now she is badly scared
And I am scared too
When she expressed her fear of getting rapped in stair case if it happens and she just became pale , panicked , motionless , numb and she asked me is she safe outside even with me .
I couldnt answer
I couldnt tell her its ok to go to university alone or it's ok to start a part time job
She also mentioned the lady was rapped in mirpur 14 recently
She said that lady was in her own appartment
I couldn't give her any assurance and we are safe
Like dark age again small child , teenagers , grown up woman , no mother , no daughter , no age group are safe in this country
I always encouraged her saying baby you can work even in ur own country
Bangladesh is not bad
We are most of us educated
It doesn't happen in city in day light
I am helpless now
I don't have any word to encourage my girl who is our future generation
This is so frustrating
Feeling really helpless
How long I will carry our daughters grown up daughters as a kangaroo ?
Where is the end of it ? When our women can feel safe in their home and outside ?
How we will study or work ?
How we will encourage our younger women to be self dependent?!!!!
I would like to draw government attention to make strick law and bring implications of the law so that our women can live their life safely with good respect .
We are trying to be developed as a country .
This is not a sign of social development
Developed country women they are having social security because they have good law enforcement and practices.
We must not do things to bring dark age in our country
We want to grow
Lets raise our voice together against of this brutality
Even any kind of verbal abuse , physical abuse , sexual hassasment must be stopped in this country
A woman is a daughter , a sister , a wife , a mother
When a mother is insecure or in fear the full nation will fall
