একটি বেসিক সেলাই মেশিনের প্রধান অংশগুলো

একটি সাধারণ বা বেসিক সেলাই মেশিনের প্রধান অংশগুলো উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। মডেলভেদে কিছু পার্টসের অবস্থান বা ডিজাইনে পার্থক্য থাকতে পারে।

১. সুই (Needle) এটি কাপড়ের মধ্যে সুতা প্রবেশ করিয়ে সেলাই তৈরি করে।

২. নিডল ক্ল্যাম্প (Needle Clamp) এটি সুইকে মেশিনের সাথে শক্ত করে আটকে রাখে।

৩. প্রেসার ফুট (Presser Foot) সেলাই করার সময় এটি কাপড়কে নিচের দিকে চেপে ধরে রাখে, যাতে কাপড় সরে না যায়।
৪. প্রেসার ফুট লিফটার (Presser Foot Lifter) এই লিভার দিয়ে প্রেসার ফুটকে উপরে তোলা বা নিচে নামানো যায়।

৫. ফিড ডগ (Feed Dog) প্রেসার ফুটের নিচে থাকা এই দাঁতযুক্ত অংশটি সেলাইয়ের সময় কাপড়কে সামনে ঠেলে দেয়।

৬. নিডল প্লেট (Needle Plate) এটি একটি ধাতব প্লেট যার ছিদ্র দিয়ে সুই ওঠানামা করে। এতে সেলাইয়ের মাপের জন্য দাগ দেওয়া থাকে।

৭. ববিন (Bobbin) এটি একটি ছোট রিল, যাতে নিচের সেলাইয়ের জন্য সুতা পেঁচিয়ে রাখা হয়।

৮. ববিন কেস (Bobbin Case) ববিনকে এর ভেতরে রেখে মেশিনে সেট করা হয়। এটি নিচের সুতার টান (Tension) নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে।

৯. হ্যান্ড হুইল (Hand Wheel) মেশিনের ডান দিকে থাকা এই বড় চাকাটি হাত দিয়ে ঘুরিয়ে সেলাই শুরু করা যায় বা সুইয়ের অবস্থান ঠিক করা যায়।

১০ .স্টিচ সিলেক্টর (Stitch Selector) এর মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন ধরনের সেলাই (যেমন: সোজা সেলাই, জিগজ্যাগ সেলাই ইত্যাদি) নির্বাচন করা যায়।

১১ .স্টিচ লেংথ রেগুলেটর (Stitch Length Regulator) এটি দিয়ে সেলাইয়ের ফোঁড় কতটা ছোট বা বড় হবে তা ঠিক করা হয়।

১২ .টেনশন রেগুলেটর (Tension Regulator) এটি উপরের সুতার টান নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে। সঠিক টানের ওপর সেলাইয়ের সৌন্দর্য নির্ভর করে।

১৩ .টেক-আপ লিভার (Take-up Lever) সুতা পরানোর সময় এটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধাপ। সেলাইয়ের সময় এটি ওঠানামা করে সুতার ভারসাম্য রক্ষা করে।

১৪ .স্পুল পিন (Spool Pin) এখানে বড় সুতার রিলটি রাখা হয়, যেখান থেকে উপরের সুতা মেশিনে যায়।

১৫. ববিন ওয়াইন্ডার (Bobbin Winder) এর সাহায্যে খালি ববিনে খুব সহজে এবং দ্রুত সুতা পেঁচানো যায়।

১৬ .রিভার্স লিভার (Reverse Lever) এই লিভার চেপে ধরলে মেশিন উল্টো দিকে সেলাই করে। সেলাইয়ের শুরু ও শেষে ফোঁড় মজবুত করতে এটি ব্যবহার করা হয়।

১৭ .থ্রেড গাইড (Thread Guide) এগুলি স্পুল পিন থেকে সুই পর্যন্ত সুতাকে সঠিক পথে চালিত করে।

"নীল কাপড়ের গল্প: ডেনিমের পথচলা"

(একটি ফ্যাশনের গল্প)

অনেক অনেক বছর আগে, ফ্রান্সের একটি ছোট শহর ছিল — নাম Nîmes। সেই শহরের কিছু তাঁতি তৈরি করত একধরনের টেকসই, মোটা কাপড়, যার রং ছিল গাঢ় নীল। তারা একে বলত “Serge de Nîmes” — সময়ের সাথে সাথে সেটাই হয়ে গেল “Denim”।

এই কাপড়ের ভাগ্য বদলে যায় যখন ১৮৭৩ সালে, আমেরিকার ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ায় এক জার্মান অভিবাসী, Levi Strauss, ও এক দর্জি, Jacob Davis, মিলে তৈরি করেন এক নতুন পোশাক — এমন এক জিন্স প্যান্ট যা খনি শ্রমিকদের কঠিন পরিশ্রমে সহজে ছিঁড়ে না যায়। তারা তাতে লাগিয়ে দেন তামার রিভেট, আর ডেনিম কাপড়ের শক্তি তখন হয়ে ওঠে কিংবদন্তি।

ডেনিম তখন ছিল শ্রমিকদের জন্য। কিন্তু সময় বদলাতে থাকে।

🎬 ১৯৫০ এর দশকে, বড় পর্দায় দেখা যায় James Dean আর Marlon Brando-কে — জিন্স পরে, হেঁটে বেড়াচ্ছে উদ্দণ্ড ভঙ্গিতে। তরুণ প্রজন্ম বলে, "আমরাও সেই বিদ্রোহ চাই!" স্কুলগুলো জিন্স নিষিদ্ধ করে, আর জিন্স হয়ে যায় বিদ্রোহের প্রতীক।

🌈 ১৯৭০ এর দশক, হিপ্পিরা জিন্সে আঁকে ফুল, সেলাই করে প্যাচ, আর বলে — "এই ডেনিম আমাদের ক্যানভাস!"
সেই জিন্স আর শুধু কাপড় নয়, হয়ে ওঠে অভিব্যক্তির মাধ্যম।

💄 এরপর আসে গ্ল্যামার। ১৯৮০-তে Calvin Klein-এর বিজ্ঞাপনে দেখা যায় জিন্স হয়ে গেছে ডিজাইনার ফ্যাশন। এখন আর এটা কেবল রাস্তার নয়, ক্যাটওয়াকেরও।

🎧 ১৯৯০–২০০০, হিপ-হপ, গ্রাঞ্জ, পপ — সব কালচারে ডেনিম ঘুরে ঘুরে ফিরে আসে। কখনো বাগি, কখনো স্কিনি, কখনো রিপড — কিন্তু ডেনিম থাকে একই রকম চিরচেনা আর নতুন।

🌱 আর আজ? আজ ডেনিম নতুন গল্প বলছে। রিসাইকেলড ডেনিম, সাসটেইনেবল ফ্যাশন, পরিবেশবান্ধব প্রক্রিয়া — এখন ডেনিম শুধু স্টাইল না, দায়িত্বের প্রতীক।

এক সময়কার শ্রমিকদের পরিধান আজ বিশ্ব ফ্যাশনের রাজা।
ডেনিম, তুমি কেবল কাপড় নও – তুমি একটা গল্প, একটা আন্দোলন, একটা পরিচয়।
