Children are among the greatest blessings Allah entrusts to us. Yet, raising them to become faithful Muslims with strong character and noble values is one of the greatest responsibilities we will ever carry.
With that hope, I first enrolled my eldest son in an Islamic school. However, for various reasons, he could not remain there for long. For nearly seven years, my sons studied under the English Version of the National Curriculum. As the years passed—with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, changing curricula, and an ever-evolving society—I found myself increasingly concerned about their moral and spiritual upbringing. It often felt as though raising children who are honest, compassionate, and firmly grounded in Islamic values was becoming more difficult with each passing day.
Then I witnessed the gradual growth of International School. My younger son was eager to become a student there, and for me, it became an opportunity to revive an old dream. With renewed hope, I returned to the profession I truly love and joined the school as a teacher.
To me, teaching has never been merely a profession or a source of income. It is a trust (amanah). Every morning, I am welcomed by the smiling faces of innocent children, and every day brings a new opportunity to help shape them into individuals who are not only academically capable but also morally upright, compassionate, and conscious of their duties to Allah and to society.
In a time when education is often reduced to a commercial enterprise—where children are sometimes taught in overcrowded, poorly equipped classrooms with little emphasis on character—Golden Buds International School is striving to offer something different. Spacious classrooms, a bright and nurturing learning environment, modern education, and a strong foundation in Islamic, moral, and human values are all woven together to help children grow into balanced individuals.
For me, this mission is far greater than preparing children for examinations or successful careers. It is about preparing them for life—with knowledge, integrity, faith, and kindness. I sincerely pray that every effort made in this journey becomes a source of benefit not only in this world but also a means of earning Allah's pleasure and reward in the Hereafter.
May Allah guide our children, bless our efforts, and make them among the righteous who benefit humanity. Ameen.
