Following the application of Bangladesh Knitting Owners Association (BKOA), a meeting was held with the leaders of both organizations under the chairmanship of BKMEA Executive President Mohammad Hatem on Tuesday 13th August 2024 at the BKMEA office to re-determine the knitting charges. The meeting was attended by some directors including the vice-presidents of BKMEA and other leaders including the president of BKOA Md Salim Sarwar. With the consent of both organizations, a new wage (charge) of knitting has been decided which will be effective from 1st September 2024. The members of both organizations were requested to properly implement the newly fixed knitting charges in order to keep the knitting industry of Bangladesh alive.
