A coleção Tunsé é o resultado de uma crise que se transformou em renascimento. No pós-pandemia, me vi questionando o sentido de colocar mais roupas no mundo. A inquietação foi tanta que pensei em parar de criar.
Mas a resposta estava nas minhas origens e nas minhas mãos. Através da moulage — essa técnica artesanal e minuciosa de esculpir o tecido direto no manequim, usada na alta-costura europeia —, a Tunsé me devolveu a paixão pela moda em que acredito.
Esse trabalho é puro afeto. As peças foram bordadas por mim e costuradas pela Paty, minha parceira de ateliê, com um cuidado e respeito que transbordam em cada ponto.
Criar moda tem seus dias difíceis, mas para mim é um elo emocional profundo: foi costurando que conquistei minha independência ainda adolescente. A criação pode até ser solitária, mas é na parceria e no fazer coletivo que me realizo. Hoje, sou a estilista que resgata a costureira dentro de si. Aquela que ouve o barulho da máquina e sorri.
The Tunsé collection is the result of a crisis that turned into a rebirth. In the post-pandemic era, I found myself questioning the point of putting more clothes into the world. The unease was so great that I considered stopping creating altogether.
But the answer lay in my origins and in my hands. Through moulage —that meticulous, artisanal technique of sculpting fabric directly onto the mannequin, used in European haute couture—Tunsé rekindled my passion for fashion, the passion I believe in.
This work is pure affection. The pieces were embroidered by me and sewn by Paty, my studio partner, with a care and respect that overflows in every stitch.
Creating fashion has its difficult days, but for me it’s a deep emotional connection: it was through sewing that I gained my independence as a teenager. The creative process can be solitary, but it’s in partnership and collective work that I find fulfillment. Today, I am the designer who rediscovers the seamstress within herself. The one who hears the sound of the sewing machine and smiles.
