With great joy, I’m thrilled to share “Comfort”, my new design that’s part of a truly special project — The Art of the Sea Book by Laine Publishing, inspired by the magical world of the Moomins and their creator Tove Jansson.
Comfort is a seamless cover-up or poncho-style wrap, made by holding two contrasting strands of the scrumptious Bouclé yarn by . The result is a beautiful mélange of colors that mirrors mountain landscapes — soft, textured, and perfectly cozy for layering when the air turns chilly.
In my imagination, Comfort embodies the warmth of Moominmamma’s embrace — gentle, welcoming, and full of care. Not only in its versatility, but also in the delicate rounded edges that represent tenderness and connection. It’s the warmth of being together, the comfort of belonging.
This precious collection was photographed by the talented and , and I’m beyond honored to be part of it! I honestly couldn’t dream of a more beautiful way to share The Art of the Sea Book with the world.
Endless thanks to my dear friends at for the yarn support, and to the wonderful team at for making every step of this journey so smooth and inspiring.
All the patterns are now live on Ravelry and Laine’s website — you’ll find the link in my to easily explore this beautiful collection.
I hope you feel that “Comfort” in your heart — the warmth that comes from witnessing beautiful things made with love.
