On this International Women’s Day, I would also like to address a message to the men who walk beside women with respect, awareness, and love.
To the men who choose to be true partners.
To those who care, who support, who share responsibilities and dreams.
To those who understand that walking beside a woman is not about competing, but about growing together.
To the men who recognize the history every woman carries a history too often marked by injustice, silence, violence, r**e, inequality, and invisibility throughout the centuries.
May men know how to stand in respect before a woman.
May they know how to listen when she speaks, without interrupting.
May they know how to encourage, value, and support the women who walk beside them.
Because every woman also represents those who came before her:
those who were silenced, forgotten, prevented from studying, creating, leading, deciding.
And every act of respect today is also a way of honoring that history and building a more just future.
May men and women walk side by side, with dignity, partnership, and mutual admiration.
Because respect is strength.
Partnership is evolution.
And equality is progress for all of society.
