I’m deeply honoured and grateful to Creation Botswana for the incredible opportunity to share my pitch before a distinguished jury. It was a moment of pride to tell the story of reclaiming and redefining our cultural heritage—rooted in the legacy of our forefathers, who wore leather during sacred rites and acts of communal strength, as well as the pride we take in adopting a zero-waste technique to contribute to a more sustainable fashion industry.
Being selected as one of the top 2 pitches out of 20 in Cohort 1 is a huge milestone for me and for Tru’D. It's a reminder that our history, when reimagined through fashion, can inspire powerful conversations.
